ULAANBAATOR - This morning, September 6th, the heads of delegations, referees and members of the CISCA were invited by the Mayor of Ulaanbaatar Mr. Munkhbayar for a ceremony at City Hall. The Mayor has presented his city and wished to emphasize the importance of this kind of event for the development of the image of his city. FISU Treasurer Mr. Bayasgalan Danzandorj then took the floor to emphasize the vital role of the support of the city as otherwise it would be impossible to organize events of this scope.

Mr. Igarahsi Presents Mr. Bayasgalan a FISU SouvenirThe general consensus of the participants is that the championship takes place under the best conditions and the athletes are boxing in front of an audience of connoisseurs.

According to the FISU Technical Delegate and this in agreement with the representative of AIBA, the quality of boxers has improved. Given the results of the first two days, fights are of a remarkable intensity and undecided until the last second. The two traditional strong nations in University Boxing, Russia and Mongolia, are clearly struggling to preserve their chances.

Tonight CISCA members were invited to a welcome dinner by the University Federation of Mongolia. At this dinner the President and Treasurer MONSF of FISU, Mr. Bayasgalan Danzandorj, thanked all parties present for allowing his federation to organize such a tournament. He also recalled that his federation is one of the most dynamic of his country and also in Asia. This is why there are already future projects for the organization of other World University Championships in Mongolia.

Mr. Hisato Igarashi, CICSCA Chair, thanked the MONSF for its dynamism and professionalism. He then proceeded to exchange traditional gifts from FISU to formally thank the Mongolian University Federation for its support and contribution to the development of the university boxing.
